Storing Without the Hassle

Have you been thinking that it's time to organize your house? Perhaps you have found that you can never find things you're looking for, or it may be that you have realized your kitchen table or your entry table has turned into a catch-all for everybody's belongings. Get Some Help - Consider getting help from your spouse and your children. After all, they probably had a part in the way your house is now, so don't you think they should be part of the remedy? It might be super helpful for each person to go through his or her belongings to see what to keep and what not to keep. Remind everybody that, if they haven't used an item for a very long time, it's probably not something that needs to remain in the house. Pay attention to detail. For example, if there are empty CD or DVD cases and the contents have long disappeared, it's probably time to dispose of the cases. 

It might be very helpful for you to set up stations. For example, have a station for items that will go to charity, another station for things that will later be sold at a garage sale, and yet another station for plain old trash.

Consider A Storage Unit - Part of your home's disorganization might be due to the fact that you have lots of things that you want to keep, but not the space in which to keep them. For example, if you decide on a last minute fishing trip, you can easily access your fishing gear to take with you.
